  • New E34 Advice/Ideas

The M3 is now tucked up in the garage for the winter and I've invested in this :

    http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2099862.htm

...so basically it's my first go at proper stanced look and is a bit of a blank canvas. It's already got my 18x8 and 18x9 style 32s from the M3. Pics to follow when I get a chance

Current plans are matte black on everything from the roof down to the shoulder line (basically where the current red is peeling and horrible), yellow tint lights, blacked grille and surround, a budget airdam (strip of plastic riveted on)...open to all suggestions though think of it as a group project!

Then to the stance. I don't really want to spend any money so definitely chopping the springs. Anyone done this on the car or is that really impossible? How many coils should I cut?

Any photoshop experts do your worst...or best!

Looking forward to seeing where you go with this. I nearly bought it myself a couple weeks ago!

      Cheers Tom.

OK so anyone know how much drop I can expect per coil cut? Standard springs

          Update time:

I finally pulled my finger out and sorted some dodgy iphone pics, so it's now got my M3 wheels on, some budget stance and I've messed with the lights and grille. So far total spend including the car <£360. Chopped the front springs in half and took 3 out of the 10 rear coils off. Let me know what you think.

Car looks good for what you got into it. The yellow film on the headlights needs to go quick-style, and some spacers would round it out nicely.

looking good! you might want to go with a lighter yellow for the lights. as far as the sprayed two tone i dont think you should do it. oem looks better. just have the paint redone.

                  Update on the update!

Broke the spring mount off the rear shock tube today. It was made mainly of rust and holes to be fair! A £37 replacement has blown the budget now. ;-)
