Just found a 1989 Mitsubishi Mighty S Pickup (SCSB) for $2900 with 116K miles. Debating that over the Corolla if its in good condition...

Also looking at a 1991 Lexus ES250 with 113K for $2900.

I'd stay away from mighty maxes too.

If you want a mini truck, datsun, nissan, toyota is the way to go.

stay away from Lexus it's going to be a lot more expensive than you think

Its just a styled up Toyota Camry. Almost same body except for badging and interior changes.

If I remember the 97 is very different, but the early 90s model is almost identical.

If it was me I would look around a good bit for a nissan/Toyota. Bit I'm biased
