So I've ended up with a car I've sort of always wanted. It started when I bought an Alfa Romeo MOT failure for £280 that came into the garage. I spent about £50 on parts, and retested it. Used it whilst my Golf was off the road until I stumbled across an ECU for my Audi which sprung that into action. The Alfa sat unloved waiting for me to photograph it and stick it on eBay. But that never happened. On a FB group I spotted a local E39 520i in Fjord grey with the sport bodykit and alloys, terrible advert but the guy was asking fair money. So I made him an offer. The Alfa and £100. We bartered a little bit and we settled on £150. So off I went!
Its been to the moon and back, but for what it owes me, I'm gonna make a project. Plans are E53 X5 19s, its already lowered but maybe stick my airride on it if I can sort out some rear struts, nice little sound system, then a M52B28 with M50 inlet and exhaust manifolds, CAI and a chip.
