Thought I'd post what I've been up to lately. Picked up YET MORE wheels . . . these will stay I promise
I got cracking with them quickly, had them about 3 weeks and they're getting there. Tyres however, may take a little while as insurance is due this month and a few other things need paying for.

Got splitting them, came apart pretty easy.

Then the centres got sent away for drilling to 5x120 and centre bore increasing.
Used G23engineering, very happy with the work and the price.

Then I got the dishes and centre nuts dipped and started some DIY polishing (I had said never again!)
Some before and after shots, not amazing but I'm pretty happy

Then I hit the barrels with some satin black, standard.

Played with a few colours, thought I was on to a winner with BMW Arctic Grey but under day light it looks blue and clashes with the car pretty bad so for the moment I'm back to silver

Plans are the sandwich mount the centres instead of face mounting them as the are standard. This will give me a touch more dish and a touch more width.
I've had a quick throw on of one of the rears with a few bolts in it. I was well happy with the results.

So I've got the sealant and the thread lock ready to build them back up. Just need to finish polishing about 40 bolts and give the centres a coat of paint. Have been trying to make some centre caps and pins but it isn't going too well so far but isn't really a massive problem.
Not bad progress for 3 weeks.
