Please excuse the essay... but im getting sick of 'for sale' adds that tell you NOTHING until you turn up after 4 hour journey, only to find a shitter. Also, i apprecaite this isnt quite a 'drift car for sale' ... but it went sideways in the snow like a badass and its got more lock that most the cars on here haha :p )
firstly, here is my 'project' thread for it.. it was pretty well received by the DW masses
I've only had this car a short while... but despite how gangsta / pimp / boss it is, its not for me and im missing a daily drift hack.
It has a auto box ( they all did I think) which its, quite frankly, brilliant. Eco and sport mode ( usually always in sport) and pulls VERY well... infact, in the 2000 miles ive driven this.. it makes me smile every time i put my foot down, it really takes off. (It was boss in the snow too, even pulled a mate out a ditch.)
It also has a kick down button at the bottom of the pedal, where it drops down 2 gears. A massive laugh when you get some muppet up your arse.
I have recently bought replacement seatbelts for the rear as they were looking a bit tired and i was mssing a buckle anyway. Its got a lot of history.. loads of stamps, reciepts and was previously owned by a garages it would seem. I wouldnt go as far to say a 'full service history' but its a near as it can be. That said, i cant see any missing periods of history so perhaps it is full.
It has recently has a rear arch proffessionaly re done. They have done a great job. The other side could do with getting done at some point..infact, this is the most 'rust' effected part of the car. Not visable from the outside but can be felt.
As you can imagine, being an old car there are a few issues. Predominantly they are electircal. The passenger side headrest isn't moving ( they should go up and down... the drivers side works fine). There is also an intermitten fault with the cruise control. I've looked into it and its a common fault with the CCU ( cruise control unit) and the solder inside going 'dry'. It can either be re-soldered or replaced. I have a mate who's handy with a soldering iron so i was going to un plug it and give it to him to sort. The sunroof opens and closes but doesnt move the roof bit.. havent looked at this yet. Body work is largly fine, a few small patcheds of rust under the paint which will be some love at some point but they are not serious ( its a 24 year old car!). As the boot is ali, there is some reacted paint on the boot. The engine also has a slightly noisey tappet. I got the mercedes specilist to listen to it and he wasnt worried. Its an easy fix but when he said it was quiet compared to most SEC's of this age I decided to leave it. Fianaly, the alternater belt sometimes squeeks on start up.
From what I can see it doesn't use any oil / water and i've been using it as a daily and its been flawless. At 70mph it sits at around 2600rpm, so really cruises and at 90mph is barely sits about 3000rpm. ( not that i ever go up that fast bla bla blah)
In short, its like sitting in an armchair to drive, its silly fast for its size and despite being a 4.2 v8... it doesnt completly rinse me on petrol. Gets plenty of complements and makes you feel like a posh t**t whererever you go

If it stays my plans will be drop it perhaps 1" more and loose the back box to really hear the V8 roar....although it sounds pretty mental anyway

Im open to swaps (drift car ) but if i were forced ( at gun point) to stick a price up I would want £1995ono
I'll let the pics do the rest of the talking. (theres a few!)
