  • Noob Buckinghamshire E36 328i Sport

    Hi Guys,

My names Rob from Buckinghamshire, I've been a big fan of the site for a long time now and thought I would get involved on the forum.

Im not new to modifiying cars and I expect like most I've been at it since my first car.

    So brief car history is
Fiat punto (we all have to start somewere)
Hyundai Coupe (lets move on swiftly)
    Lotus Elise S2

Then I found my love of German cars,
    E46 330ci - E30 touring
    Merc CL500 - E36 320 track car
now I have a E36 328i Sport ( real one not like some claim to be )

heres a pic of my last proper project my E46 330ci
long list of mods but main ones are:
    BMW aerodynamics kit
    19 csl (reps)
Lowered on just shocks and springs.
    Groupe M CF induction kit.

So my current car is an E36 328 sport took me ages to find one in this condition, no rust not a sausage, huge documentation (98K miles) all original.

    Modifications so far are:
    earlier 328i sport LSD
    Coilovers
    refurbished/polished original BBS RC 041's
Stero - iphone connection and holder
    Strut brace.
    CDV removed

    So heres some pics:

By no means as low as most e36's on here but it gets used for a bit of track time also but we will see what the future brings when i can get a dedicated track car again.

Video of it being used it at Bedford autodrome:
Taking my 328 around the SEN circuit with friends: Mark Busby - 328i Sport Martin Waite - 328i Sport Matt Gregory - MK2 Golf GTI - Jreg Paul Busby - 330ci Will…

One other car ive owned was an Audi 80 that my friend and i drove across europe in the wacky rally.....its supose to look like a vietnam huey I would recomend trying one to anyone, great laugh

Any way sorry for the long intro, look forward to talking to you guys!!

Bedfords such a fun track, took my 330 on there

How did you compare with the 330 of your mates? I found that with the other 328s on track when I was there they were leave standing quite often?!

Car looks great, liked your old E46 too.

Sweet rides! Love the iPhone mod in the centre console, was going to do the same with my old 36!

80-copter is insane, might do it to mine

Cheers Dude yeah great place to have a few cheeky slides and be relativly unlikly to stuff it into a wall, i had one trip on the grass though, the 328 seemed to keep up with the 330 ok didnt have any real competative chases though so couldnt call it either way, feels just as fast as my old 330 though.
