I came across this situation on wednesday, didnt know the road and couldnt turn round because of traffic, so I ended up doing 'A' but had to end up in the opposite lane, couldve done 'B' but wouldve had to start in opposite lane. Its a simple question.
Both options are the same clearance wise, just depends on traffic I guess, and if all else fails put your hazards on and flash like a motherfucker, that'll scare them into letting you do your thing
And for me I do know the roads I'll be driving, google maps street view for the slow tedious speedbumpless win.
Generally B because I'd rather pull into my own side of the road after, but I usually just drive straight over because no matter how I attempt to go round something catches.

Depends if there's anything coming the other way. If roads clear I'll go for B, but if someones coming on the other side of the road, its A, then hope that after the time it takes to slowly scrape over they will have gone past and i can use their side of the road to straighten up
