  • It has never really been a viable option before with costs and its only recently progressed to the high level it's at currently

I know people say air performs just as well, but how many people track a car on air?

well they probably can. The guy with the cupra k1 at the S|W meet drives his car ridiculously hard and is bagged.

He only speaks highly of bags.

To be honest bags are convenient, and given my history with lowering cars the traditional way and UK roads, it has a higher potential to go wrong.

          • Airrex raced a Mini in a series in Japan with positive results. I looked into it but 4.5k was too much of a gamble for a suspension I hadn't tried. Decided to keep my Clubsports.

            • I've never looked into air, as an option on anything, how much does it roughly cost all in?

              Does anyone use hydro's anymore?

z4's are nice but i'm not massively sure on them.

                • I paid much less than 2.5k. But did it myself. Plush wanted £2700 for the same kit I have fitted, supplied only.

You've got to have seen the AirLift video about track it?

Done that, too tall for it, not doing it again.
                    aha.

That airlift vid is totally Rad. Hip. Happening. SRS.

Air ride is for people that keep their cars longer than a month then haha.

WHat coilovers are needed to drop an S2k on its belly? Only pricey ones? i guess Gaz dont go low enough?

He said pick a good one carefully, if the geometry is fucked, its expensive to sort.
"Get him to check all his geometry adjuster bolts first as they seize and are a fortune to replace
Don't want shit geo with lows

Ah... Well if the adjuster bolts are free you just need driveshaft spacers! If they aren't youre looking at £1200+ to sort so that's a priority when buying a s2k"

                        • It is about right I think for a daily. Runs low enough with the diffuser, stops you getting to most places.
