That's a nice impact gun! I needed one today for the old MX5. I just gave up, my mate has a snap off impact wrench so I'm sure he can help me next weekend.

I rather like the automatic. It drivers pretty well! Also, if you know how to work it, you can actually drive it pretty much like a manual if you want to (switch it to winter mode once you're out of first gear, then just limit the gear selector to 2nd, 3rd, 4rd or 5th. Because of the winter mode the automatic wants to stay in the highest gear possible and since you're limiting that... it's almost like driving a manual, once you get the hang of it).

And a manual swap would be at least 500 in parts alone as well... the transmissions themselves can be had for ~250, but you need the manual drive shaft, fit the third pedal etc.
