        The Hemel snow centre is pretty awesome! by far the best local place for anyone in Herts/Beds. Been a few times and would love to get better, skated all my life so shouldn't be to hard a transition.

          Haha let's not even start this ski vs snowboard argument actually, we will never agree. Although boarding is better than your pole carrying plastic shoe wearing skiing sob

            I boarded for 4 years, (well split the season half and half), I can safely say I prefer skiing. Not because I was better at skiing, because I found boarding too easy.

                Apparently skiing is easier to learn but harder to progress and the opposite for boarding, I've always boarded and never really had the urge to try skiing. My biggest put off is how bad ski boots kill my feet and legs with all of my muscle problems.

                  They're both pretty fucking easy to learn, progressing in skiing is definitely harder though, I'm still not comfortable doing rails and what not, where as on a board took me a season of trying before I was confident in it.
