I don't know how it is for you guys in the UK, but here in Germany, you can register your car for half a year for quite cheap. If I got the numbers right in my head, I'm at roughly 300€ I pay for tax and insurance for the 6 months I drive the Touring. If you have a daily that isn't that expensive (which is why I want to sell the 7 as it's just way too expensive really) you can easily manage it.

turned 22 sunday before last and decided to get an insurance quote on an e36 325.

Came to pretty much the same as my z4.

i'm paying £950 for my gti, but that is half coverage (everything is insured, unless i wreck it myself, so storm, vandalism, broken window ....)
