  • 91 240sx, Anyone seen my hood?

Hey, just came back home from the first Eastcoast StanceWork meet i've heard of, nearly two hour drive with 15mins to see the cars before cops came, but it was well worth it. I drive a 91 Nissan 240sx that i've just finished building for the past year, from the looks of it, it's far from over, but i finished an area that attracts my attention alot, the engine bay. As far as stance goes, i'm not satisfied, for starters, i'm on sportmax's, and to top it off...I'm on sportmax's. But i got a deal i couldn't refuse being the rims had tires that were worth more then the wheels. I hope to get a set of 17x9.5 Front/18x12 Rear Volk Te37's by next summer, if not something in that size or wider, CCW's if i get tired of looking for perfect sizing. Anyways, being it's a stance site, my wheel specs are 16x8-Zero offset-BridgestoneRE01 225/50/16, I do plan to lower the front about another two inches, but not until i get new fenders and fit/line my front end right before i paint her. Onto the various pix from building to now. P.s, the car was bought as rusty old shell and is what it is now.

Where i relocated the fuses/relays after wire tuck, custom plexi box water tight sealed.

    Hiding from the rain...

And a pic from the meet of one of my fav cars there along w/ the yellow e36,

Before the question comes, yes, i do have a hood for her, i just have to re-adjust my blow off valve and make a new bracket for my coolant can so the hood can clear, along w/ putting on my aerocatch's. I doubt spec sheet's cared for, so why waste the reading, unless anyone wants it. Thanks for reading.

Thanks! Will deff be attending any/every meet StanceWorks throws on the East Coast, though i was upset todays meet didn't have any sort of permit. I looked into it after i got home and actually found out a permit's attainable for a very well park lot that we can hold an official meet at without fear of being kicked out or harassed, as long as no one acts a fool and keeps in mind it's a public park where families and kids are around, the park's in Queens, NY and i think it would help to really kick off the east coast Stance appeal to the rest of the U.S being N.Y's seen as such an "urban" area where nice cars are limited, and i think that can be proven wrong if we organize a well gathered meet, but it's just a thought, not sure how supportive it would be of.

It's mounted the same way it came from Nissan, but the clutch fan's been deleted and an electric ones taken its place so i have alot more space to work with, the V-mount also gives the illusion of being further back, someday if I'm fortunate enough to do my dream swap (RB26), i'd want to cut my trans tunnel and move the motor back for a near 50/50 distribution, but as of now she grips well in auto-cross, time attack runs, which is what i aimed for, yet still being able to drive it every night without being annoying, which i have to thank to my favorite mod to the car, my Fujitsubo exhuast, i can happily say my car's quieter then my friends stock g35,,,off boost at least.

I'd like to achieve 12" width or more with alot of pulling neg cambering, but still having mixed feeling as far as 30-50mm rear over fenders go. If i do, i'd like kogouchi powered overs.

Go for it man, make sure it's a thick sheet so it doesn't flex from all the vibration, and use a dremel to cut it without cracking it, be warned, making this box took me a full week, and once i blow a fuse/relay and have to pull my front end off, i'll be reminding myself how retarded of a location that was, i wish i could have put it in my glove box, but it would have took alot more wiring skills then what i'm capable of. Here's another pic at a different angle,

Read my apology thread, we thought the permit was all worked out, and then we got there. Don't think I would just say "Hey lets meet here! Seems like a good idea!", I would never I always make sure that things are going to go as planned, but apparently the parks dept didn't see the permit through, and even though I called back many times, and tried to contact the right people to make sure it had gone through, it was too late, and after the fact that I found out it had never even been processed because of my age. And getting that Permit is no where as easy as you may think, you need to have insurance, and jump through a lot of hurdles before they will even consider it. Ask me how I know...
