  • New living in Salisbury, NC

Just giving my intros..driving a 2005 Nissan Altima. Getting into the stanced scene. A couple of questions..can't seem to get any answers from numerous sites.*LOL*

    1) Any bodyshops that do fender rolls near Salisbury, NC? (with an actual device (Eastside Fender, etc..) and heat gun, no cracks, peeling paint, rust.etc..etc..) not the baseball method.

    2) Legitimate shops that install coilovers (came across shops that don't sell coilovers but install them), and alignments for lowered cars..(preferably in-ground alignment lifts.)

    3) Legitimate shops that mount/balance stretched tires...

Thanks for the info..! I'm about 40 min from Charlotte, 40 min from Winston-Salem, 35 from Concord/Kannapolis, 35 from Mooresville, 35 from Statesville...about 1 1/2 from Greensboro. Appreciate the help..!

      NC woot!

I know a guy that does awesome fender rolling at a good price. I can get his number for you. He lives around Winston.

As for stretch/balancing tires, I have a few friends that work at Discount Tire in Winston and High Point. They can stretch tires for you. Not that they are the only people that work there that will do it, but Disciunt Tire in general will do it.

      Hope that helped a little.

you can also look around for laser alignments. they raise the car on the lift and lower it onto these special box type things and then attach devices to the wheels and do it digitally with a laser.

that was probably the worst explanation EVER lol, sorry. but it is an option.

              and welcome!

I've researched sites on installing coilovers, it seems easy, but I've also read the corner weighing, etc..etc..so.. maybe better take it to a shop and they can re-do if they do something wrong.

I've had that done before, just if my car is lowered then they might scrape my bumper, or frame underneath driving on the platform..or trying to get the lifts swung underneath.

installing coilovers and corner balancing/corner weighing a car are 2 different things. most places that are going to install coilovers wont have the scales to corner balance the car, at least from my experience.

Welcome! A guy named Aaron here in W-S can roll your fenders. He's done a bunch, with an Eastwood, and does a great job. He rolled the fenders on my Miata and I'm very happy with the job he did.

As for shops, try the Discount guys to see if they can do it for you. Don't hesitate to ask for someone that has experience with stretching tires. And if the shop doesn't want to do it, try another one. You could always make a trip down to Eurowise in Charlotte. They may not work on Altimas much, but I doubt they would turn it away. They're probably your closest one-stop-shop for all that you want to have done, including the fender rolling.
