  • Greetings from Denmark.

So, this is a damn delight, to get away from all those Facebook pages, and into a real forum.

    So, some things about me.
I'm 26 years old, and live in one of the most car ****** countries ever. Also called Denmark (180% taxes on a new car sucks)

I'm a huge fan of japanese cars, and that could be the reason why i only had owned Mazdas

Right now, i'm the proud owner of a 1992 Mazda RX7 FD, imported from japan.
And a 1995 Mazda Millenia, imported from california.

Nice fd. Why the high taxes on new cars? Sounds counter intuitive to a productive economy. I did the same thing, left Facebook to be on forums again, so much better.

Because that's one way, of how they finance free health care, free education, and things like that. (we also pay around 37% of our salary in taxes)
And you can see it on the prices of our used cars too.
Where my Millenia would've costed maybe 500$ in the US (condition taken in mind) i bought it for 1200$ and that's consideret a damn steal here

        Welcome to the forum!

37 euros a week for taxes? Pfft! Come to the UK! Where we get shafted left right and centre by the government. Say someone was to earn £350 (520 Euro) weekly, of this they would be taxed £94-98 (160-168 Euro). And cars are far cheaper in the likes of Germany compared to UK also when new. Frankly, only good thing about the UK is the loose car modification laws... Otherwise, it sucks. Our healthcare is "free" also, although they are trying to take that from us and still tax us more....

Aaah... I think you win there... We dont get a 40% tax until making more than £32000 a year (50000 euros) Until that maximum is 20%!

Regardless, always loved FD's. And yours isn't an obnoxious FD aswell! Big winner in my books
