  • Hello everyone

Hello everyone, I am new to the stanced car scene and reside on the west coast of canada in beautiful BC. I currently drive a 1991 Acura Integra GS that is slowly sitting pretty. I was never to sure about getting a car a dropping lots of money on it (just wasn't my thing).. anywhooo, a large majority of my friends drive stanced cars whether they are just aesthetic mods or aesthetic and performance mods and they are all pretty impressive. One day I was hanging out with a couple of my buddies (I used to have a 2003 pontiac grand prix se at the time) and they invited me and my grandma car for a cruise, I was surprised. So we went on the cruise and it was great, it made me want to get into the stanced car scene not only because my buddies drove stanced cars, but because I all of the sudden wanted to drive a car that didn't look the way it did when it came off the factory floor. I wanted to drive something I built and could be proud of.

so skip ahead 2 months, I have just purchased this car from some dude who seemed respectable and honest. Two of my closest friends who are in the stanced import scene went with me to look at it (in the dark i may add) everything checked out except a rear wheel bearing which was a cheap fix. the car drove really nice, it was pretty quick and the only negative thing was the wheel bearing so I got the guy down on the price.

skip ahead 2 weeks after I got the car. The wheel bearing was getting annoying so I got it checked out, turns out I had to get my control arm and ball joint bushings replaced -340$ but the shop didn't fix the bad bearing because they said that what i was hearing was the control arm and ball joint banging around. they said that was what the noise was that I was hearing (I'm getting pissed at this point cuz I was pretty sure that not what the issue was) bus since they fixed it ive noticed the front end of my car is a lot quieter.

skip ahead 3 weeks.. the noise that I heard when I first drove the car is getting louder and I pin pointed it in the back of my car. I have a family member who works for a dealership so he got me 2 rear wheel hubs. A week later the parts arrived and I took my car to a friends (major honda nut) and we switched out hubs on both sides. The annoying grinding is now gone (the right rear hub was about to fall apart)

skip ahead 1 week. Purchased some 5 spoke racing dynamic wheels in satin black with some minor dish from a friend and put them on the same day i got them.

skip to now. I now have my fully functional teg, I am lowering it next month or in January 2016.

I will get pics uploaded asap.

looking forward to being a member of the forum!

Thanks! One question. What's all the dislike on automatic cars? Mines auto, and I can drive stick. But I'm not doing engine mods or anything, I just wanna cruise in a nice low car. So what's with all the dislike if someone wants to drive an automatic car that's loe and looks nice?

new wheels I picked up off a buddy. 16" racing dynamic mags off a bmw some custom floor mats I made up at my work because the cloth ones were all rotten and nasty I cut the stock y pipe tip that had 1.5 inch tips and installed this 3.75 inch tip that was plain stainless until I burnt the tip with a torch.

Im lowering it 2" in about 2 weeks. I know its an automatic and I might get flamed for it, but to each there own right?

Who gives a flying fuck if it's an autotragic.
Just keep it clean and don't do any of that fanboy shit that honda owners seem to be attracted to(loud exhaust without the performance to back it, sticker bombing, non functional tow hooks, ugly ass spoilers, wink mirrors, random stickers thrown everywhere without reason, plastishit, fake ass wheels).

Just drop it on some good quality coilovers, good quality wheels, clean the exterior up with some jdm bits like the one piece headlights, get rid of the seat covers and you're good to go.

            Welcome to Stance|Works.
