  • Intro Thread (More VW's...)

Hey everyone, my name is Sean and I'm from Buffalo. I've always enjoyed reading stance works blog posts, but I've never really gotten into the forum itself. I've been active on vortex for a few years now and I thought I'd try this one out.

Over the past 3 years I drove a mk6 Jetta. It was my so-called "project car" and also my daily driver. It was one of my first modified cars and it really was an eye opening experience. During my first year of ownership the car was bone stock. I had a neighbor down the street with a mk6 GTI on KW suspension and a different set of wheels every season. Seeing his car and the changes it went through sort of opened my eyes to the car scene and what you can do with something to really make it yours. (I know I sound like such a chump here, but hey just being honest!) So I did my research, joined vortex and that's where it all started. To make a long story short, I went from coilovers and Audi wheels, to a rear subframe swap, bags, and some wider cast wheels... I enjoyed the car in it's final stage for a while and then I decided it was time for a new project.

I really wanted to do mk4 .:R things but I couldn't find a solid mk4 in my price range that's been untouched. I slowly started checking out the mk5 threads since I don't mind DSG, and I came across one that I couldn't pass up. The car is tornado red and it's bone stock at the moment. I've got plans to pick up a few things for it over the winter and some long term goals for it as well.

Stoked to see what you do with that R32! I'm picking up a MK4 R32 next week for my girlfriend.
