I've been checking out the site a lot more lately and felt like joining.
(vwvortex is down for a site change so thats the main reason I felt compelled to join today
)
I'm mainly into Volkswagens, but can appreciate any well done car. I like them all and I like stance.
First I'll show my mk2 because I think its stance is much better than the mk4. I just recently put the wheels on about a week ago so now I actually have some decent stance. I want it to be lower, but its vr swap with mk3 plus suspension, which pokes ~12mm more, in the front, than a normal mk2. So because of that, the wheels poke a little too much for it to be any lower, but a little camber will take car of that.
Just crappy phone pics for now, I want to take some better ones soon and I'll probably make a different thread for them.
(front poke isn't actually as much as it looks)
Then heres the mk4. Its a 2003 GLI. I pretty much have it where I want it. Nothing too special. It would be nice to be a little lower, but the coils are down the whole way.
This is probably the best the stance was. I had 20mm spacers in the rear but took them out for the mk2, which is more important
