My name is Jon and I'm located in Kalama, Washington. Pretty new to everything here. Looking forward to meeting some great people!
I've got a 1990 Volvo 240DL. She's piece, but I love her.
Been in the Swedish/Euro car game since day one.
My first car was a 2001 Saab 95 Turbo. Loved to **** that thing. Acted liked it was the fastest car in town, ahah. At the time I didn't know shit about fast cars.
Second was what got me into the Volvo game. 1987 Volvo 240 DL. 120k miles. Khaki yellow, mint brown interior, hand made wooden roof racks with a Khona color stain, and some freshly painted steelies. Rolled real nice for about 7 months until I wrapped it around a pole going 50. I didn't have her for long, but never have I been more sad about losing something than my Brick. Was so mint that it hurt..
Third. A 1985 Volvo 740 Turdbo "Intercooler". This was the replacement to my loss of my 240. I picked her up for 900 bucks. When I got her she ran perfectly, but about 2 days after I bought it, she stopped running. Threw about 600 bucks in parts to try to get her running again, but finally gave up. Leaked massive amounts of oil, wiring harness was rotted out due to the fact that 85's had a biodegradable harness. Just wasn't worth saving. Interior was almost new. Looked like it had never been sat in. Exterior was the same. After a month of trying to sell her, I settled with an offer of 300 bucks and they took er' away.
Fourth. My current Brick. 1990 Volvo 240DL. Never have I seen a more solid engine in a 25 year old car. Appears to have never leaked oil, at any point in time or leaked anything for that matter. Tranny shifts great. AND IT HAS POWER WINDOWS THAT ALL STILL WORK.. Picked her up for 700 bucks. When I got the brick, it had blown shocks and that was about it. I replaced the shocks and uninstalled 3 coils off the front and 1.2 coils off the rear, cleaned up the steelies and gave her a minor stage 0 tune. Right now the driver side door doesn't open and I can start the car from the "shifter", ahaha. Nothing major..
Got a lot of plans for this car. Hope to keep you guys posted, if interested.
Cheers m8s.
If anyone lives in the area and ever wants to have a get together, let me know!
