    Hi all, i've just picked up a 69 280se and wanted to get some opinions and possible feedback from people with regards to my options for lowering? Cut Springs, Bags etc?? Thanks in advance

    Welcome! Looks good man. Air ride vs. Static is your opinion, but I would never do cut springs. Don't half ass a nice classic like that. I would never cut springs on anything regardless. Personally... I would through some air ride into this. It's a good condition looking car and wouldn't want to destroy the underside of it hahah. Little bit more expensive upfront, but you will without a doubt be saving money on broken parts in the long run. Hope this helps!

      Welcome!

      Bags would absolutely the way I'd go on a W111. You've got independent springs and shocks, so air ride is very straightforward on these. There are a few bagged W108s out there, which have very similar suspension that you might steal some ideas off of.

        Thanks for the reply's, looks like i have got plenty of time to decide due to the west coast port delays
        Air is looking like the way forward just need to find the right kit!
