Hi all! Meaning to register and stop lurking here for a while now, finally did it.
Besides a lot of other things on wheels that rust, my most important ongoing project is a 1976 Mini 850 Deluxe. Ran about 200k km' as far as I know, and have owned it for about 2 years now. Barely legal to drive due to the rust in supporting parts of the car, work started early, but I loved (almost, I won't lie) every hour of working on it. Engine is still 100% original, and plan on keeping it that way. It seems to be indestructable, want to know how long it will last with proper care. It's not quick by any means, but who cares, once up to speed I can keep up with a lot of potent car's as long as there are corners present.
Started life red, became metallic blue someday, then red, then baby-blue. (?!) I bought it in that color, and by now it's semi-gloss grey. Hi-lo's are fitted, but I currently prefer proper ride over proper stance. New arches or on their way, this will fix the huge gap.
