  • New guy from Cleveland

I'm Jack. I'm from Cleveland, OH. I currently drive a 1983 RX7 and a 2000 Celica GTS, which I'm trying to sell so I can buy a G35 sedan. I took a look around the forums, and I really liked what I saw. I'm more into the old school Japanese stuff. I've owned a 1980 Celica GT Coupe, 1982 Celica, 1987 Cressida, 1974 260Z, 1975 280Z, 1980 510 Wagon, 1980 Corolla SR5 liftback, 1983 Corolla 2-door sedan, and a bunch of other stuff. A couple of my friends ride old school as well, my friend Alex has a 1979 RX7, and my friend Deb owns my old Cressy and 510. None of it seems to fit what people do here...but I really dig what people do here. Now that I finally have a decent job, I can afford to build something cool. I'm planning to drop the seven, and find some old school wheels to put on it. On one hand, it's a 4X110 bolt pattern, so wheel choices are extremely limited to what's available. On the other hand, because of the obscure bolt pattern, old school wheels are cheaper, since they can't be put on anything but old Mazdas.

I also do semi-pro photography. I shoot a Canon 40D, and while I've done a couple things for hire, I don't really make any money off off it. You can see some of my stuff at:

Anyways, sorry for writing a novel. This place kicks ass, and hopefully I can contribute...something.

Thanks. I've had at least 40 cars. I usually keep one daily driver, one toy, and one car to re-sell at a profit.

It's just camera phone crap. I'll take the seven out for a proper shoot once I'm done putting the carb back on this week. It's bone stock, super clean. I plan to put Tokico Illuminas, Racing Beat springs, and Racing Beat swaybars. It's not going to sit as low as the average person's car here, but it's hard to get a FB that low without heated/cut coils, which I'm not willing to do (since this car will also be autocrossed).

Here's the Celica. I'd put up a classified ad if I didn't wanna be "that newbie who posts an ad as soon as he signs up".
