  • Canadian R34 Skyline build

Hey guys, my name is Zach and I own an R34 Nissan Skyline 25 GT Turbo coupe! I imported this car from Japan myself about 4 months ago. I have BIG plans for this car, so I have decided to start a build thread on it. In the time that I've had it so far, i did a few things to it. heres whats happened so far....

Bought the car off of these 2 low quality pictures, not knowing anything about the car except for the colour and how many kms it has.

About a month and a half later she finally arrived!!! it was filthy, i guess thats what happens to a car when its on a boat for a month.

After a quick polish i realized the car was in mint condition, no dents, scrapes, rust etc... except the paint on the trunk was faded, and the headlights and reverse lights were foggy. but that was no problem, i took the parts off and brought them to a body shop i was volunteering at, and i refinished everything myself.

after that i cleaned the engine bay, and it looks brand new!

I bought a set of 19x10.5 volk te37 replicas. after installing them i realized they are too wide in the front for my stock fenders, so i had to sell them. sucks because the wheels looked soo good. Also i installed a GTR wing on the rear.

so then i went back to the stock rims, but this time i added 30mm bolt on spacers all around to give it a more aggressive look.

Glad you cleaned up the headlights, that's the #1 thing that bugs my about all the R34's here is that the headlights are cloudy as hell and makes the car look super lame. Also why did you sell those wheels? They looked like they fit just fine?

the front wheels needed a 10mm spacer to clear the brakes, and with the spacer the nuts could only do 3 or 4 spins, and it wasnt safe, so i needed to buy bolt on spacers, and with the smallest bolt on spacers those the wheels stuck out waaay too much

ok so last night i was looking online at some r34 GTR's, and i noticed that on all of them the right reverse light is red.

so instead of buying a gtr red reverse/brake light online i thought i should make one myself. the reverse light came out with just 1 bolt under the plate (easy). gave the light a quick wet sand with 800 grit paper, then gave it 4 coats of red tint, and topped it off with 2 coats of clear. came out amazing! saved me about $200 and a month of waiting time to receive a GTR light.

Crazy that you bought that car with only those 2 low res photos, but it looks like it payed off. Looks great so far.

The right red light is actually a rear fog light. Theres usually a separate switch for it on the dash.
