  • Want a e30.. no exp. working on cars.

So I want an e30 that is bagged and really clean. I've never really worked on cars though, but think it could be fun to do a few things but I don't wanna get in over my head..

What would you suggest for me in finding an e30 with some mods/ or even flat out done. Where can I get one if not on this forum? Any other advice ??

    THANKS

I would try looking locally on Craigslist. It might take a while but something will catch your eye eventually.

Is something like this a good starting point? Spend around 7K on a clean solid e30 and then put about 2-3k in it in through buying coilovers and rims? I really want BBS RS wheels

i love e30's but you can find e36 M3s for about the same price.. which one is more reliable and will be cheaper to maintain down the road?

Honestly I couldn't tell you which would be better. I don't know much anything about bmw's but there are some guys on here who seem to be die hard bmw guys so i'd try and find a forum on here to talk to some of those guys.

My E30s never had an issue with reliability, as with an older car, your 1st concern would be to replace "wear" parts to ensure it. Look for one with Service Records for the most confidence. I had 3 E30s: 325is, greymarket 325i vert and a 325e sedan. None ever left me stranded.

            progress IS a slow process
