  • Me & My Story :)

Hello all My name is Tomek, I am from the UK but I'm currently living in Poland. I am 17 years old, but most people don't believe my current car is my 7th car.

    First Experience With StanceWorks
The way I found StanceWorks was by looking for some cool designs for my Audi 80 Cabrio (RIP). I found Atlas' 80 Cab and I literally fell in love. But since then, I have been browsing the forums and checking up on the homepage pretty much every day. I have only just made an account though, because on my new car

    My List Of Cars
It all started with my old Peugeot 106. When I was about 9 my grandparents taught me how to drive. That being said I was practically begging them. It wasnt like they just said 'ok', understandably, they were quite reluctant. Anyway, that car went to the scrap yard after I had been done with it . [no picutre, too long ago]

Next car was 4x4. Mitsubishi Shogun (UK version of a Pajero) purchased for £500, about a week before the HeadGasket went. We still drove it 1000 miles to Poland anyway. That car was used for some light offroading. When I tried anything more than light it instantly backfired. Like this... this... and this...

While I was in the UK I bought this Fiesta for £50 off a friend. Sold it for £200 and that was the end of that.

So the Shogun was getting really old, rusty and the headgasket was rotten (spotting a trend here? :P). That went to the scrap yard, to be replaced with a Renault... Yes a Renault. Not my first choice of manufacturer, but at least it was cheap. Right? No. This is what it looked like when I bought it. This is what I did to it. This is the last picture I took of it. 3 months later. Great purchase...

My next car was my best. A 1995 v6 Audi 80 Cabrio. It was an amazing car. It was fast. It was comfortable. It was a f*cking convertible, It turned heads. Gallery HERE. I did a few things to it, but 2 months ago, on 30th of May 2014, at precisely 6:15pm, I made the worst misjudgement of my life. I started to get cocky and overtake before a bend, crossing crossroads and a double white line. As I was overtaking at about 140kph, a driver I was about to overtake made a left turn, hitting my right wing and wheel. as he hit me I lost control and headed straight into a ditch, destroying a little wall and missing a giant tree by about 10cm. I am lucky to be alive. Not only because of the accident, but because I was with a friend and his Mum wanted to kill me. I understood why. This is what the car looked like after. Gallery HERE. The control arms had been SNAPPED off, wheels shattered, chassis crumpled and engine and gearbox shifted backwards. Anyway, that was a mistake that cost me so much money and emotions. Yes I cried, anyone would.

Then I got a Ford Escort here it is its horrible and lasted a week lets move on k.

The present day... For my 17th, I recieved a BMW E36 318i. Its not much, but its a start, and it may not accelerate like my 80 Cab did, but it'll do the job The plan is to make it ride nice, look nice and run nice. Its not going to be a car that only goes out to meets. This will be my daily driver, so no slammed suspension, no 2cm tyre tread & definatley no engine swap for like a v8 or something. Its lowered already on new struts and springs, just need to but some nicer 16"/17" wheels and some other cosmetic stuff.

I wouldnt mind some suggestions, but simple, cheap and practical is my goal

I hope you enjoyed my story. I thought it would be a bit more interesting that the other posts of 'hi, im __ from ___ i drive a ___'.

    Anyway, thanks for having me!

Wow, Lots to read BUT I DID IT! WOot!

By the way you didn't link pics everywhere up there. Second, get rid of the wing and stop tearing up cars. Buy and sell or even trade, but not destroy!

    Welcome to S|W

    ...and soon we'll be saying:

Thanks I need to get rid of that wing, but first I want to buy a smaller 'M3' style one. Also, the cars that I had sold for scrap were not worth selling. No one would buy those cars. I tried.
