I'm digging your plans for it though, TDI swap will be dope.
thanks for the compliments man! The stance it has will stay , i am going for 195-45-50 tires which will be a touch more stretch but all in all I am going for a functional track stance. this car is goin to be ran in NASA gts1 circuits so i cant have any crazy cambered out look or anything of that nature. The 15x9's are on it because it will need it. I am ordering 4" flares for it soon , and when I get those I may even run something like a 205-50-15 on the track. And the 195-45-15 on the street. I already have a cage for it which is being modified to fit, since its a mk2 drop in cage and doesnt quite fit the cabby quite right. Up next is a corrado brake swap , and rear disc swap. NASA rules state that in all open top cars you must run a 6 point cage or better.

Thanks for the kind words man. This car is very much a work in progress. This is only the beginning. stay tuned

    I would give it a mk1.5
clipper kitted bitch baskets share a lot of stuff with mk2s and mk1s
much like the late mk3 cabs, or I should say the mk3.5
a mk1 is a rabbit through and through.

There is no debate, it's a mark 1 Golf, the MKII is a completly different car...

Thank you. i have had this debate with vw guys several times, and I guess (even though in MY opinion its a mk1) I guess they prefer mk2 because its a clipper kit cabby. I love my VW but the VW guys are a tough crowd with the lingo haha (for the love of G** dont call it a rabbit haha)
