  • '87 Conquest TSi "Diamond" from Nor-Cal

Hey guys, I own a 1987 Chrysler Conquest TSi, also known as the Mitsubishi Starion. Never heard of it? Don't worry, you're not the first, nor will you be the last Anyway, I've determined I will be going the bagged way, just for the height adjustability, yet the clean look of a slammed car. Starquests(as they are referred to by the Starion/Conquest community) use Macpherson suspension all around, so ANY input or recommendation as for what bag setup to use will be greatly appreaciated, as I am pretty much a newbie when it comes to bags :/ Any other SQ's on here(although I doubt it)? Anyone scraping low with bags on Macpherson suspension? Let me know. Pics coming soon, although she is a work in progress.

    Peace!

P.S. I'm in the 707 Cali area if anyone is wondering.

I have a 1uz conquest but it isn't lowered. Lots more people have heard of starquest than you think. They aren't that rare just rare to see running.

This thread is all you need. And you won't need bags:
I recently put some ST springs on my car. Of course i had the common rear sag issues so i cut about a half coil out of the front and it looks a tab better and does not bounce. I wanted to just see how slammed some others starquest owners may be. I will post pics of mine when i finish my lowering.

Also check out this thread and search for his others. His Conquest has gone through major changes
The general style discussion forum, as well as a place to post your car, or any car for that matter.

@GTS Hunter thanks for the input and I have deeply looked into the tons of lowered Quests, and there's only about 5 that I truly love how they sit, John "Convette" Lazorack being one of them, ESPECIALLY with those overfenders which I hope to one day acquire. Like I said, I want to run bags for versatility otherwise i would've just cut my springs if I wanted to go lower. I was considering D2's for a while, but like I said, II don't think they're for me, and I would like to go even lower. Thanks for the input tho. Any way you can lead me to some Macpherson bagged builds?

@R2dmax that's John Lazorack's car. I ABSUPOSITIVELY LOVE IT. I plan on getting the overfenders he will soon be offering, but I really want to go for bags, not static. Might cost more, but that's just me. Btw I do love how his car sits tho!! Sex on wheels pretty much

            Carlos,
I googled Macpherson+air ride+setup and got a good amount of helpful information especially from low rider forums.
            I hope that helps.
