  • Saying hello from Canada... Grand Am fans? haha

been a long time lurker so thought I'd finally join the forums I have a feeling a lot of you won't like my choice in automobiles though haha Anyways Mike from London ON and I currently own this thing

not much done to it besides what you see but have a crapload of parts sitting in the garage to make it a bit more fun

    things to come
    LX9 Engine swap
Getrag 5spd swap(manual trans was never a factory option)
    LSD
    6puck clutch
    Headers
    2.5" exhaust
    Corvette front brakes
    Speedbuilt swaybars

more plans in the works but definitely need this thing lower, its sitting on 18x8s with 245/40s and no rubbing surprisingly lol

oh and the winter ride, solid axle swap in its near future

I'm surprised you like your choice (Grand Am) lol, but I am a firm believer in making the best of what you have. Never heard anyone putting that much work into one either. I'm curious to see progress. PLease start a build thread if you are serious. Any other wheel plans? Nice Blazer

    Welcome to S|W

    progress IS a slow process

        Welcome!

If you're shopping for inspiration, I've seen a couple 4-door Pontiac builds on here that turned out surprisingly well. Gman1227's G8 is just impossibly fresh, and Bakerdd's '99 Grand Prix turned out incredible before he chumped out and sold it.

haha benz I remember your username, I guess I can't get away from these damn 60degree V6s lol

thanks guys and R2dmax I'm serious lol have pretty much all the parts kicking around except for the vette breaks but not really a priority right now... Need to get my truck to pass emissions then I can take the car off the road for a few weeks to get this swap done

I've thought about different rims but haven't really found something that I really liked, wish my original plan for my current rims worked out... previous owner sandblasted the polished aluminum off

how I got them with oversized 245/50/18s

what I tried to do but couldnt get all the pitting gone no matter how much I sanded

The black/green combo was something I needed to try, while walking the paint aisle my eyes kept on going back to it lol figured its not hard to grab a couple more spray cans and change it if I ***** it but it's grown on me

some of the engine bay goodies...dont worry those shitty projectors are long gone lol

majority of my 5spd parts came from this Alero

perhaps I should just start a build thread lol
