New guy about to buy a car, advice?

Hi guys, I need opinions on making my 2nd car purchase ever. I'm 19 and going to college where I don't really need a car, but would like one so I can go mountain biking somewhere other than city parks.

I haven't worked much on cars before but I'm mechanically inclined and like to figure it out.

I'm into the 80's look and have been considering: Datsun 280z, 280zx, 620. VW Mk1, Mk2, corrado, especially caddy as I love small trucks. Nissan hardbody.

Anybody had experience with one of these? opinions? The miles is just amazing.

older datsuns and stuff like this had odometers that only recorded 5 digit numbers so in all reality even if it's a one owner truck it could still be 1XX,XXX miles. i would just make sure to test drive it and make sure everything is mechanically sound. good price either way though, good luck.

I would in an instant if I didn't plan on hauling bikes around all the time. I want either the practicality of 4 seats or a truck bed.
