  • Introducing Audrielle the ej6 Civic

Picked up a 1998 Honda Civic Lx 5-speed for $200 beginning of summer. After a little brake work she was good to go (peeled the destroyed hubcaps as well). The only rust is a couple spots on one fender and the inside edge of a door. Other fender was poorly repainted and losing clear, but other than those issues the car only has minor dings and scratches.

Rode it on 14" steelies for a few months before I got gifted a decent condition set of GSR Integra Fat Fives.

Also bought a set of red-clear tail lights that I siliconed the hell out of so they won't leak. Besides that, all I've done is a stainless 2.5" ebay catback, an AEM ram air intake, and a Pioneer head unit. Sitting at my dads shop waiting to be installed is a 3a Racing cat back, short throw shifter, 20% tint, vent visors, front UCA's and coilover sleeves (that I'm not confident in the fit of and won't install). When my brother and I went to lower the car, we had everything installed except the front sleeves at which point we decided the sleeves looked dangerous and reverted everything else back to stock.

Future plans for the car include purchasing proper coilovers (I'm eyeing a set of Raceland coilovers, can anyone vouch for that brand?), a couple bolt-ons for the engine and going OEM+ on the exterior. I don't want to be king of the ricers like I was in my CB7 so this car will be nice and simple.

Sorry about the crappy pics, I'll use one of my cameras to take some real pictures once I do the body work. All opinions are appreciated, thanks for looking!

Wow, not bad for $200. I bought Function and Forum type ones for my EG and I love them. Go really low and still ride really good. I cant say from personal experience about the Raceland's but from what i have heard is that they ride like crap but go really low. Looking forward to updates.

Cool! If it makes you feel any better I rode around on ebay sleeves for about five years without a single issue.

The main reason I'm thinking about the Racelands is because they're $400 and come with everything except tophats, which is perfect because I just replaced those with new oem parts. But I'll definitely keep an eye open for a set of F&F's

In my never ending pursuit to own the best car I can afford, I just got a newer Civic and sold this one. I'm sad because there were so many unrealized dreams with this car but I need something I can rely on to get me back and forth to school.

New car is a 2006 Honda Civic Lx sedan. Black exterior, tan cloth interior, 5-speed manual, sunroof, 5-spoke alloy wheels and essentially a flawless body for 170k on the odometer. While I'll miss Audrielle, there is so much more of a future with this car.
