Newbie from Cape Town South Africa
Hi guys
My name is Ziyaad, im from Cape Town South Africa..
Ive been a car enthusiast all my life and got my 1st car when i was 18.. I was University student at the time so i didnt really have much choice as to what car i could get.. My mom brought me home a little Mazda 323 1300 hacth which i drove for 5 years.. After graduating i got my 1st job and made some cash to buy my 1st real performance car, a 1998 Nissan Sabre.. Its basically a Nissan Sunny B13, but its a South African Spec version. Its also powered by Nissan's SR20DE engine..
I then drove the car for 2 months and then decided it needed more power. I installed a set of split cams 264/272 duration, added a TNT header and cold air induction. The car made a healthy 135Kw..
The engine went well for two years until i decided i needed some Lift in my life and opted for the SR20VE engine swap..
All the work done on my car is done by myself and my buddies and the car is tuned by Symons Tuning, a SR20 specialist in based in Cape Town..

The car makes a decent 155Kw and 240Nm on the flywheel
My best 1/4 mile time with the car is 14.2 sec
Ive always been a Jap fan and 2 weeks ago i bought my 1st Datsun. Its a 1980 Datsun Sunny pickup. Im the 2nd owner and the pickup has a genuine 121000km on the odo. Its a 4 speed with drum brakes at the front (Just shows how ancient this thing is)..
Im looking to add some stance to the pickup in future, but for now im enjoying it as is
