  • hi.

    My name is Stone.

Not really, on my birth certificate is just says S. But that is lame so I picked something cooler.
Right now I am in the same situation with my car. I drive a lame 04 Pontiac vibe. Being the nice guy I am I got my wife the new turbocharged car with heated seats while I freeze my balls off on fabric seats.

I figured that now is the time to get started with a car I can call my own. I've always had a sweetspot for cool and unique little cars, growing up in europe prolly had something to do with that. Now that I am in the PNW I'm surrounded by all these unique low to the ground cars driven by most my friends.

Now, I know, it isn't somthing that you go out and buy...these low cars are about the people as much as anything else. I used to give the same speech when I was a tattoo artist, 'you have to earn it.' While I will try to earn the respect of yourself and the community, I will also be buying some stuff along the way. The first purchase will be tomorrow with this...

    A 1974 Volvo 142.

It was close, there was a high milage 1983 e21 in the mix and a '77 450SEL, but I like the rarity and simplicity of the 142.

Who knows...I might get more then one.

Oh, and I have no clue what the hell I am doing.

Got it today for $500. Turned out to be a GL! Get a '77 450SEL tomorrow for $500. It's a POS. But what do you do with a '77 450SEL that cost $500? WHATEVER YOU WANT!

Sounds like you've got not one, but two awesome projects to begin! Start a build thread and I'll sub the hell out of it! Welcome to the forums.

The 142 GL is pretty nice...so it'll be awhile before anything 'stance' related is started. I'll post pictures of it currently and revive the thread when I get my gear in. The 450SEL is just a gamble. It could die any moment but I'll just sell it for parts or scrap. Until then I'll rat-look it out! I'll put some build pictures up...not really what this forum is for but non-the less.
