  • g'day everybody

g'day my names Jason and i'm from the Victorian coast of Australia. (any other Victorians on here?). I decided to join Stance works because I love looking at what other people are doing in the car scene and chatting with fellow enthusiasts. i'm also starting to get a little bored of the forum I'm with now so this will be something to mix it up. The explanation for my user name can be found in my pride and joy. I have recently rebuilt a 91 Ford XF Falcon Ute and sprayed it in Envy Green, I bet there isn't many people on here who have heard of an XF? haha. I'm not sure if i'll start a thread on the ute or not yet as i'm not sure it will fit in around here, I mean sure it's got stance but it's old school stance haha. at the moment it's sitting on a set of deep dish 15 inch Weld Racing Prostars with a slight sniffer rake. my real passion is the muscle cars and Prostreet scene of the 70's and 80's so it was bound to end up this way. Anyway i'll post up some photo's and let you guys decided.

used to look like this by the way

if you want to see what went into the build heres my lengthy build thread on Ozfalcon; http://www.ozfalcon.com.au/index.php...envy-green-xf/

so what do you guys think, will I fit in around here?

    Welcome,

I had an EB falcon when I was downunder in 2008/2009. Backpacking 'n stuff. Got real tired of that fucking backpack, so bought the car for 1100 bucks. LOL.
Aussie-car world rocks btw. Many enthusiasts and hooning everywhere

Ahh yeah that's awesome. I have an ED falcon for a daily and couldn't complain, hard to get a better car for the $1,200 i paid. And yeah we do have a great car culture down here, it's built into our nations culture. just keep away from the p platers in commodores haha.

yeah each to their own i guess. I get a very mixed response from the headlights but one thing are are not is cheap. they are genuine ford XR headlights, very rare and expensive. One thing i didn't want this Ute to be was the same as everyone elses so the plain old rectangle headlights where the first to go.

Haha, the day I Get off my P plates is the day It gets a 351 clevo. In the state i live in you can't have more than six cylinders, forced induction or performance modifications for the first 4 years of licence. I've broken one of these rules but i think a V8 might be pushing it just a little haha

you can have a 6 banger on p's dude... plenty of aussies in the international section.

A lot of people wont really take to an xf, but aslong as you're here for the gangbang and have a thick skin, you'll be right.

Also, a lot of people will prefer the standard headlights to the xr.... they are much smoother and flow better with the squareness of the xd-xf

Of course you can, that's why i said more than six haha.
Mate don't you worry about that. Trust me the xf was never my first choice for a project car, i wanted an xy or an xc or something properly old school. All of my mates doubted that i could make something cool out of it, including myself for a while, but i have put as much effort as my budget of four grand would allow me to and i just love it. I have people stopping me in the streets to talk about it, it's won trophies at show and shines, it's going into the readers section of street machine soon apparently and best of all my friends all love it. Sure it's not everybodys thing, and yeah the headlights are controversial but i couldn't give a fuck because I love it, and i know that everybody is different. Here's the thing, there are people that love beetles, i **** beetles with a passion but i respect and love to see the passion that others have for them and that's how I'd like to be treated but of course I won't be by everybody. So I just don't care. Fair enough?

looks classic and still quite unique. The wheels and drop work so very nicely and although I do slightly prefer the stock headlights I still dig the XR ones you've fitted since it gives a nice twist and done so cleanly.

Good luck on the SW forums and might see u around since im in Vic as well

                        My bad, didnt read properly.

                        XC, now you're talking.

HWY meets are cool if you're into that sort of thing, dont see them lasting much longer, any group that starts large meets generally gets shut down after a while.

                          not a worry mate

i'd love a xa - xc coupe. my dad had an XB GT Coupe back in the day. yellow and black, slammed on twelve slotters, 4 barrel carby, all the good shit. wish i had been around to see it.

I don't see them lasting much longer either. they have this big no hoon policy but they can't control what happens after the meets. meeting with other car guys is good fun though so i'd like to check it out before they get shut down.
