  • NYC noob intro - low classic

Hello all. Been a fan of this site for a while; first learned of it through Mike's e9. I've been working on two e9 projects since 2005. I've attached pictures of my 1963 Riviera and 1976 BMW 2002.

The Riv is either loved or ***** due to the drop ... so I take it out and drop it. If you don't like it, don't look down. Thank you for reading and looking at my albums (listed under low classic).

I will be putting up pics of my shallen ame cx 5 x 114.3 rims. They total six rims, 2 new and in box; other four no rash They measure 19x9 and 19x10. I will pot full specs in appropriate section.

1963 Riviera is bagged, shaved, custom upholstery. I consider the car to be slightly modified as the engine and transmission are original spec, numbers matching to the chassis. Purists do not. Anyway, I tried to respect what Bill Mitchell would have done but with my own personal touches, especially in the interior.

Car was a bare metal respray and was an"in between" project as my E9s were frustrating the hell out of me. I thought it would be an easy vision to reality project but unfortunately I picked what seemed like the one American car I could not readily find parts for. I ended up scouring junkyards in the mid west for small odds and end parts to complete the restoration.

Hope you all enjoy it as much as I enjoy looking at your projects. Sorry about not posting images, I figured all would look at the album.

I've attached images of my 02 and a few more of the Riv as it is in theme with this site. The pictures included are from the American Manhasset Concours D'Elegance. Ferrari's or Porsche's are as common as economy cars and pushed to the back of the lot, along with Maserati's, Lamborghini's, Aston Martin's, etc. The show is car porn, every other step your mouth drops. A judge to exception to the stance of my Riviera last year. The car was invited back so I made certain to drop it lower than the year before. Nevertheless, I have been flattered to have my car invited for the last three years. It's the only bagged car there.

I've also included pictures of my g35, which I sold last year. I still have the six AME Shallen CX rims in my garage. I couldn't bring myself to sell my custom rims - procrastinating to rationalize buying another g so the rims don't have to "sit around" (and I can drop the car like I wanted to in the first place). If you are interested, hit me off line with a reasonable offer and for the full specs. Two of the rims are new in the box (5 x 114.3/19x9 +18 HI Disk, 19x10 +22 SLO Disk).
