E28 and '51 356 (my dad's) newbie from Steamboat Springs, CO

Hello all! I have been lurking for like half a year or so and then made an account sometime in August. There isn't anything too interesting about me(except my dad's car). I bought a 1988 535i e28 in July, right when I got my permit. Downfall is I'm not 16 until May and can't get my license until next July. But that leaves me a year to work on my car. Hopefully, I can lower it next spring. I want to do it the right way but don't have enough money to spend on it yet. My dad has been working on a 1951 356 Pre-A for the past 3 years. We call her my dad's favorite child. I love cars, but I bought mine so I could learn about them. That is also why I made this account. Thanks!

Also, How the fuck do I upload photos??????????? I have them on flickr, imageshack, photobucket and my computer, but don't want to lose quality. Also I want them to show up in the thread not as a link. I tried doing the URL in attach files and tried looking around the forum. Any thoughts?

I have actually spent a lot of time looking at yours for ideas. I can't afford new wheels for a while so so I'm going to make do with what I have. I would like to paint my winter wheels (the top picture; stock e28 wheels) gold but not sure. Mostly just need to learn about cars, as my ignorance of them is restricting ideas. Need to go low but I get 300-600 inches of snow in the winter and if she's too low when the snow hits, I'm screwed. But probably won't be driven much in the winter. My big thing is doing everything for cheap. I will probably lower it with help from this thread http://www.stanceworks.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=37945 . My dad and I are planning a valve adjustment. We have all new spark plugs and distrubutor cap and rotor. When we got the new valve gasket cover it was broken because it was packed by idiots. So now we have to wait for a new valve gasket cover which will hopefully come soon. I won't make a build thread on this because it will be done slowly.

Wow! You never see seats in that good condition. Sport seats, maybe, but the comfort seats are always torn. Good find! Hope it's as solid mechanically.
