  • euro to jdm (for now)

Ello fellow stanc'es I guess you could say. My name is Justin and I currently am trying to battle doing the lowlifestyle and college. I have had 3 cars to date, getting more and more stanced and unique through the cars. I have managed to come from a bone stock e36 318i to a very clean and slightly stanced e36 328is to one of the cleanest cb7 accords I have seen at any meet or on the internet in my opinion. Always been into cars and fiddling with stuff ever since I was just starting to walk. Basically I spend a large portion of my weekends around cars and then a large portion of those weekends up in my friends shop chilling around cars that are torn down and building custom set ups just for kicks and giggles.

Also, I am working my way into photography some and with me being in LowLife's, the cars within the group that are so clean to shoot has really helped boost my photography skills because I really had to think about where to go and etc. But onto the car stories we go.

I'll give a brief little time line of my past cars and alittle "about me" except the cars aswell

My first car that I got with 197k miles (still running strong with 270k+ miles)

We still currently have the car in the family with basically no modifications to the car whatsoever and my dad took over the car (long drive to work) when his Avalon with 400k+ miles on original drive train crapped out on us finally.

At the time that happened, I was driving my brothers old 97 328is which he got it with ~180k miles on it and I got it with 237k and let it go with 263k with no major issues aswell

Toward the end of my ownership after a few mishaps

Basically, I had tried selling this car 3-4 times. Got offers that were good and some I should've taken when I had the chance to. But I couldn't because of the bond I had made with the car with all the connections the car allowed me to get and all the people I met just because that car was an interesting thing to spark a conversation and gain some friends that are just plain amazing. Then add in all the blood, sweat, and tears that is mine in various places in the car. I know so much about that specific car that it felt like it was more then just a car and a lot of you can relate to that. You really can form a bond with a car, honestly. How this car was minus the rust and bad bondo job and what not. It was still mine and I had a lot of adventures and road trips and scares with this specific car that I know I would never have had with other ones or at least because of other ones.

Well the time came to part ways with the her and give her to a friend that I KNOW would transform the car into something unique and will drive the car the way it is supposed to be driven and after some dealing we traded cars and he got my baby and I got a 93 Honda accord, but it is not any normal Honda accord in my book which is why I was cool with trading for it. It has 238k miles and has been garaged its whole life and has been to numerous IA's apparently and is known through the Honda community as well supposedly. I never paid much attention to Honda's so I am definently a total newb to them but I am working up my honda knowledge, atleast for the cb7 for now and then expand alittle as time goes on. I don't want to be a JDM only type person but if it looks good and if JDM parts are the only ones that look good, I guess I'll have to be that person.

*I have just gotten the car recently and not been in the mood to go out and snap some real pictures but I will be posting them up in the showcase section when I do* So here is a few cellphone pictures I have taken just to give you an idea of what it looks like. I'll also post a link to the thread in here if I remember.

The owner in nashville I assume

As it sits now (minus the lip for DD use until I get new coilovers)

And next to my brother's M5

Well I hope to become active and I hope you enjoyed the thread!

Sorry for the late reply....got out of the whole forum deal a few years back on bimmerforums cause I was tired of people getting crap for going outside the purist realm and into the unknown and unique realm. Not a habit checking up lol.

Thank ya for the welcoming, honestly the wheels/seats/and cheap cost is the only reason I was able to trade the bimmer for it. The wheels are called hasemi SSR stings which apparently are quite rare, I have yet to track down a 3 pc set like mine like for sale or on another car. I think there is 2 2 pc's that were for sale recently, one in california and another else where. But that's all I found.

We actually live in maryville which is right outside of knoxville so you may be seeing a different m5. That is my brother's and he leaves it with us because the roads in alabama suck and he is on coilovers and alittle lower then the average m5 haha.

Trust me, I am not a honda fan either. But I need something that isn't going to give me many issues to get through school and i'll be back in a BMW for sure, maybe in a year or two honestly. I got this itch for either a "bone stock" clean e30 with no interior and some v8 (depends on funds) or a black stanced e36 with turbofans. I'll be getting some more pictures up soon to get a better look at the car.

and just a little update, we tried patching up some wields on the exhaust only to fail because I needed to leave and didn't have time to smooth the wield out.
