After lurking for a while, I guess it's time for some accolades.
It's a '96 Turbo. It's been an ongoing project and the major modification is done. If you look at this photo, you'll see that the drip rails have been shaved:
It was a tedious process and took forever, but I think the car looks a lot more clean, smooth and modern after having done it. Now it's a matter of disassembling the car for paint, painting and reassembly.

For some reason, the lack of scoops fooled me into thinking it was N/A, though it clearly has turbo wheels and fenders The 993 Turbo very well may be my all-time air-cooled, if not favorite Porsche overall. It's nice to see an unorthodox approach taken in the modification of such a cult classic; and while you seem to be weary of being disbarred from Ferdinand's faithful, I think it will be well worth it. Beautiful, beautiful collection, there.
