Hello, My names JOE im 25yo and i live on the shoreline of CT. I daily a flat black 99 Forester on coil overs but ive always wanted an older mk1 VW just never could find the right one. Came across this gem over the weekend on my way down a back road in North Branford CT. Its an 83 Rabbit L 1.7L 4 speed. Has been sitting in the mans barn for the last 12 years. 55,776 original miles and i have the window sticker with original dealer purchase receipt. Super pumped to get into this project. its missing the head liner and a few other odds and ends nothing major. it runs and drive like NEW. 99% of the car is there and all the interior goodies work.
started work on cleaning up under the hood removing all the unnecessary crap under the hood ie, emissions stuff and other odds and ends you dont need lol.
