  • The ex one lap of america 318ti

So I have to admit I have never been a big fan of stancing cars. a 215 on a 10 plus inch wheel dose not do it for me. But reading articles that have been posted on here over the last year, made me realize there is a lot more to stance works then massive stretch.

This 318ti has been a tuner car all of its life. the original owner swaped it to a s50 shortly after he bought it brand new. Then turboed it shortly after that with a activeauto stage one kit, then the stage 2 kit. In 1999 he raced it in the one lap of america. Took 3rd over all and 1st in class. It was mentioned in and featured in a few magazines. sport compact car did a full spread in 2000.

so after 2 owners after the guy that built it, I now own it and am rebuilding it and enjoying it. It currently has a s52 with eagle rods and wisco 8.5 to 1 pistons. a gt35r with a cross of parts from trm and the original aa turbo kit. it is on a base tune from miller on 16 lbs. ( soon to be on 20 and tuned.)

the wheels are 18x10 d force ltw5 with tckline coilovers keeping things under control. It has a custom ap racing big brake kit. with 14inch rotors up front and 6 piston calipers and 2 pot in the rear to slow things down.

I am wanting to keep this car close to what it was, but also build it to be good at everything. cruising, autox, road race, drag and drifting. here are a few pics i only have one nice one that my friend took sorry.

here is a video of us goofing around. you can hear the racelogic traction control working over time to keep the wheel spin down

Love your car, I have a 96 M sport myself. What rear wing is that? Thanks again and keep it up! I enjoy using my "ultimate driving machine" as it was intended as well!

Cool car man welcome to the site!
I'd say there is a pretty healthy amount of people here who are interested in performance cars, I know I am.

Around 500 horsepower must be pretty insane in an e36 compact
