Pretty impressive ride height for static. Not really a fan of the fact that you made a 5-series ride like a civic with cut springs and blown shocks though.

Looks good, but good lord- 205/40R17's look tiny on there. A set of 215/45's would fill out your fenders better and make it look like you had the appropriate size on there at least.
Not bad at all, otherwise.BB6 Prelude . . E36 ///M3 . . VA WRX Limited . . 1969 Nova

Funny thing is that I actually got the bluelines because they're supposedly softer than other coils for this car. They ride pretty decent all the way up actually.
I've been thinking about cutting some off of the helper springs and then raising the car back up to where its sitting right now. The logic being that my active springs wont be so compressed all the time so they'll be softer and ill have more travel.
If you look at the helper springs when the car is down they are huge, they are as tall as the active springs..

Cheapest coils you can get, cut springs and super tiny tires and you're still not the lowest I've seen. If you had normal height tires on it you would be over 2" off the ground and would look like most other e39's out there.
Take your time and spend your money on quality parts rather then the cheapest you can get. $1500 spent on a good set of coilovers is better than $1500 spent on the most stuff you can get to make people think you're cool.

Never once had I said I had the lowest e39, I simply said "couldnt go lower" as in, with my current setup (small tires, 17's) "I" personally couldnt be lower, as seen in the picture where I I literally have less than an inch ground clearance in the front, never once was this some competition for lowest E39..nor do I think I'm "cool" for having a low car that was'nt done right by your standards, agreed however that saving up for quality equipment is smarter than trying to get more mods for as cheap as possible..well said

And echoing what everyone else is saying, get bigger tires. Not only because it looks better but it will ride so much better. My 39 rides way, way better with the same coils on the stock 17's with 235/45's vs the 19's with 35 series tires.

you dont need wider wheels, spacers would make it perfect. style 5s are the way to go. and that video is awesome. the rolling shots were fucking nasty

The rolling shots in that video were rad. I agree with everyone else in here for the most part, bigger tires, space the fronts out. Looks really good though! I wish the roads were that perfect around hereBMW E34 V8 - Daily
