  • UCF10 or E34 525iA??

    My previous car was a 91 525i, I love the way those E34s handle, currently I own a white on tan UCF10 with 198k kms on it. But I have the opportunity to sell it and replace it with a 92 525iA (198k also) with fresh black paint on new suspension (no coilovers). I'm just looking for basic opinions on which platform is better.

    From what I understand the 1UZ is built to last longer, but is more costly to enhance than the M50. I can't stand the stock LS 400 suspension but from research with the addition of some BC coilovers, poly rear carrier bushings, and poly strut rod bushings, it seems the LS can ride very similiar to the E34?

    Opinions appreciated.

      I was thinking of tracking the E34 if I got it, but I'm coming to the conclusion that it's a pipe dream considering it's an auto and no way I'd do a swap. This car will be more of a dd, but I still love a sportier E34-ish handling over the LS's stock, the idea is that the LS will come close after these suspension upgrades.

      I'm leaning on keeping the LS and buying an E30 or E24 in the future for track use with a manual.

      Opinions still HIGHLY appreciated.

          I'm on my phone, hopefully this link to my flicker photo stream will work. The Lexus is currently mine, the white E34 is my old car that I miss very much, and the black one is being held for me if I sell the Lexus. Both the UCF10 and E34 are bone stock aside from the E34 having low pro's on racing dynamics wheels, both cars have 198k km's.

          Admittedly, the process of selling the Lexus and getting the E34 is a tough one financially.
