Hi guys my name is Tom, 21 and as the title suggests i'm from the UK i have managed to secure myself a 1986 528i off of a brother of a family friend for free as he wanted it to go to a good home.
I love my classics and my first car and car i am currently trying to sell to fund my new e28 project is a 1994 rover mini cooper. However they are a bugger to own with the single point injection engine from a time of limbo between carb and the slightly more reliable but still crap multi point injection system. I did the whole sportspack arches and 13x7 deep dish wheels (a nice upgrade from the 12x6) but i was going to stance it as it has fully adjustable suspension all round but it was my daily driver and it just couldnt handle the low/ camber so up to standard height it went and only has 1.5 degrees at the front and 0.5 at the rear. so safe to say with the 1275 stage one'd engine and suspension it felt fast but my god does it corner.
I have been a member of the essex mini club for a few years and still will be but i wont have a mini for a good few years until i can afford to get a shell and build up a vauxhall 2.0 litre mini. However if you own a mini then hopefully you may see my E28 at possibly Mini in the park being the earliest show i will be at so come say Hi.
Anyway i'm rambling but i will have a build thread for the E28 which I am sure will be a slow process.
Sooooo recap: Tom, 21, Essex, E28
