Greetings,
Long time lurker and have always enjoyed all of the great projects on here. My name is Matt and i'm a long-time enthusiast. I can appreciate a variety of different cars/styles and have owned a little bit of everything over the years.
The car below is an '06 Audi A8. It's the short wheel base version and was purchased as a CPO'd car this past year. Since it's our kiddo hauler mods will be relatively mild but regardless I hope to tinker as time allows.
The car upon delivery from upstate NY

I really enjoyed driving the car but the wheel gap, even with the factory sport suspension, was a little high for me. First major mod was a Renntech lowering module.

Finally managed to get rid of the wheel gap but the factory 19's started to look really small. The search for wheels began.....
Was able to score a set of 21 x 10.5" MTM Bimoto's. Knowing that my wife will drive the car from time to time I wanted to make sure I had plenty of protection for the wheels so I went with 295/30/21's front and rear.

Wheels were installed and although a tight fit have been rub-free thus far.

The plan is to play with the ride height to get the car as low as safely possible. Since i'm on factory air there's a marked degradation in ride quality when aired out. The plan is to remove the factory suspension here in the near future and go with a full air ride kit. I know there have been a few other D3 A8's on air but information is still scarce at best. Hopefully with the help of the forum i'll be able to select the right setup.
Thanks for looking and I look forward to (hopefully) contributing to the forum!
Matt
