  • noob on "stanceworks" but not noob in stance

gday guys, my names Dominic and i live in Melbourne, Australia

my passion is everything Volkswagen's air and mostly watercooled, i also have an equal passion for cars in general too

currently i have a 92 passat wagon, its a 16v auto and is my daily, there are known to be only 4 b3 passat wagon's in OZ and i have one of them YAY!

it is also currently receiving air ride courtesy of andrew @ ORT in the states and bagyard!

the kit consists of 8 valve FBSS system, twin 400c compressors, 5gal tank and bagyard bomber air bags

i also just finished rebuilding and modifying my newly fresh autostrada modenas in 17x7.5 and 8" rear with 165/40r17's all round

    front stretch

    rear stretch (warning)

    inner barrel

they were really bad when i first bought them ($150), the lips where nearly beyond repair, BUT! with the stance im trying to achieve, the shaving of the lips came as a godsend, making me tuck my 17's front and rear by a few mm, offsets on the wheels are 50 and 52, 15mm spacers were required for the rears because the barrel hit the rear beam but they still clear the guards

they were repainted in standard silver and clear coated with holographic metal-flake just to make the wheels POP!

here is the car at current state, its on trimmed springs ATM as i have not yet received my rear bags from bagyard but they will come soon and i will document it on a build thread here at stanceworks

    my goal i WILL achieve!

my previous ride was this mk1, this mk1 broke my cherry in the stance department, having stretched 165/50's over BBS RS's in 15x8's ET07 (was my daily at this height!)

cheers guys and hope to chat with you all in the future, keep up the good work!

cheers guys, yeah the mk1 was something special, had original paint and body, no rust and only 142,000klm on the clock, not bad for a 77 model

BUT i lost interest as its one of those cars that you can only go so far in modifying it because of its originality and condition, so i had to let it go to fund the b3 air ride kit

i sold the RS's and that paid for my passat lol

and DUBY! i remember talking to quite a few people at the vw nationals, but u might need to refresh my memory as to who exactly you were? haha
