Hello everyone,
My Name is Dirk Meisner and I'm from Arnhem (The Netherlands). I'm a 19-year-old Automotive engineering student. I've been following the stanceworks blog for about 2 years now but i came across this forum a lot later. I've seen on a lot of automotive forums but everyone was always talking shit about other people's cars and no one could appreciate a build that was done on a budget or in a different style.
The thing I love about Stanceworks is that it's a community. It's all about the people. It's not about bringing a lot of great cars together but more about bringing a lot of people together to share their passion for cars. Well... thats the idea and I hope I won't be dissapointed
Now...there's someone I would like you guys to meet...
She is a 1983 Mk1 Golf and I've owned her for about a year now.
Some pictures of when I bought her:

I drove around like this for a few months and got lots of reactions and compliments on the car.
But after a while I realised that I couldn't drive the car like that any longer because somebody else built it, and I needed to make it my own. I couldn't take compliments for somebody else's work. From that moment I've been working on the car and at this moment the only things left to do is finishing up the interior and some other minor details.
This is how she looks right now:

I've built it myself and for myself and it was a low budget build But when someone compliments on the car now, it feels a lot better
Well, that's all about me I quess...
any questions?
