  • After all these cars, I finally want "stance"

    Hey everyone, I'm Tommy.
I've had my fair share of low cars, Junkers, beaters, clean rides. And even some rice.
I joined up because I've recently fallen back in love with my first car, and want another one.
No pics of it, but it was a 1983 Volvo 244 GL. No car in my history of 20 cars in 12 years holds nearly as much sentimental value, and no car has had so much character.
I plan on picking up another 240, hopefully turbo, possibly wagon. And the plan is bags, system, wheels, and enjoyment. My civic just feels too much like an appliance. Not a car.

    Some of my previous cars:
My current civic. On ITR spec coil overs, way too stiff, and no balls, but 40mpg

With my buddies cb7 and his gf's newly acquired sc300 (yes it used to be the dank sc)

My gf's corolla sr5. Just to get her to work and whatnot, never gonna mod or build it.

My old cb7's, green one had an h22 swap and was my one real Honda build,
Red one was stock, just had coil overs f&f and regamasters:

My 1994 Acura Legend 6 speed GS blk/blk:

My Ruckus 49cc with a too speed of 60mph:

    My mega beater 240sx:

    My 1992 Acura legend LS:

    My 1990 ef hatch:

There were a couple sentras in between. But the yellow civic is what replaced my old volvo.

I'll post up when my civic sale finalizes and I pick up a Swedish car. I've always been static on my personal cars, but I worked at a shop for a while doing fab on a few classic baggers, so once I get a volvo, I will be jumping into a build.

    See ya'll around.

I would get another legend, as the legend community is something I am still part of, and is considered a very close knit group.
However maint costs on them are through the roof and parts are getting hard to come by.

Thanks for the kind words. Now get that LS going. While I help find parts to fix up your old SC.

You buddies gf has the nicest car IMO... lol, Your CBs were clean. That is nice to see as it seems the "Honda" crew just chops and tears them up. Legends were nice too. Plans for the Civic? Had a 95 Si for Wifey years ago. Put a system, tint and suspension on it. Great little car

          progress IS a slow process

I like what I am seeing, and am jealous that the US got manual legends.

            Carry on.

Plans for the civic are to sell it. I've got tein coilovers and ITR rear LCA's on it. A simple system, and a solid brass shift knob. I've simply lost interest in it. Cali smog laws keep me from having any real fun with it, so the plan is to sell that, but a dirt cheap volvo 240, and put the extra money towards some accuair goodness.

And that Lexus. It photographs well. From the outside. It has potential. I'll leave it at that.

Oxer, I know you on the legend forum. I've got the same name over there. You know we can find you all the stuff you need to convert your legend to a 6mt. Just a question of money.

That 6 speed legend is sexual.

The car my mom misses most out of her quite long list of cars, is her manual legend.

Hope you scoop up a nice 245 turbo!

Well it looks like I've changed my mind again. Now I'm on the search for an e30. Found one locally (325es) for dirt cheap. It's just the right mixture of what I want in a car. A bit more refined than my civic, a lot more power, more comfort, more class, and rwd (and cheap) sooo this weekend the civic goes back up on Craig's so I can try to snag this 325es.
