  • E30 from SW Washington

My second E30, owned a '88 318i in Germany. Moved back to the US about a year ago and picked up a '87 325es. Short term plans include lowering ~ 1.5 in. and eta/i stroker build. Any practical experience, tips and tricks and whatnot concerning a stroker build would be appreciated. Future plans are interior/exterior beautification. Fixing blemishes/dents, restoring and/or replacing the aged black leather interior, etc. Looking forward to being part of the community!

I'm interested to see where this goes, and welcome. Do you have any pics of your previous e30?

I have only one very unflattering photo of the old girl, she was just a daily driver.

I also owned a Peugeot 306 XSi over there in the old country. I had plans for this but finances forced selling.

I would say lower a lot more than 1.5 inches. The car looks raised. I love me an e30 more than the next guy but please get her on coils. 3 inches

Maybe more than 1.5 in but I don't want to go... uhh... too low (can I even say that here?) I want to improve handling and appearance yet maintain decent driveability - e.g. not crumpling my oil pan on speedbumps. I'm looking around at other members vehicles on this forum, r3v, and some others to get a good idea of how low I want to go.
