  • I have a 1994 Nissan Altima (U13)

(Lol not many people stance Altimas like mine, but I thought it was a good platform, and its a step up from a 1996 Taurus.)

Hey, I'm Kevin, or K.T.F, and I've been a fan of all types of cars for a very long time. I'm a student, but on the side I also produce and engineer music for people, and I also took up photography and shooting videos for people...hell, pm me and I can probably shoot a video or trailer for your car for the low (no pun intended)

I recently got my Altima GXE from our family mechanic, and its the first car that I truly bought with my own money, and I pray it doesn't break down on me on the 405 freeway like my Taurus did :/ and as much as I loved that car, I wanted something I can truly call my own. Its a beater, but I always had a thing for Nissans, and I thought this would be a great car to learn, so any tips are greatly appreciated!

So far I, know that the car uses 4x114.3 for wheels, and I'm pretty sure I cannot afford coilovers, so I'll just get springs and hopefully find some 17x8 steelies. also, I read that a lot of altimas in my year have a problem with vibrations/shaking while in idle. I hope I can fix that, because the car doesn't drive half bad!

Thanks for checking out the thread, and I'll probably have a build thread coming soon with some HD stills from the Pentax camera, but until then here are some photos from my phone.

Also, I'm free to do photo shoots/video shoots in the LA/South bay/Santa Monica/Northridge area (I go to CSUN). I'm really affordable, and I can post my work.

(Note:the guy in the car is not me lol, I'm black with dreads haha)

Lol oddly enough, my brothers said the exact same thing when I was looking to buy a car, and they drive a mustang GT and a 2012 challenger

Welcome ! I say take care of what needs to be done if not done already & look into Ground Control coilovers with KYB AGX adjustable shocks. Pretty good for a starter coilover set & will run you about $750

Thanks! I'll definitely check the coilivers out when I'm done taking care of the car.

wow, very excited to see this happening! i have a 97 altima gxe as a daily, many times i have considered a drop and rims, but never got around to it. She has 306k miles as of yesterday, still going strong! same color as yours too.

mine definitely vibrates hard at idle in any gear, including park.
              gooby pls

Awesome! Mines I picked up at 180k, but its gonna be my project/daily driver for school. I **** that the idle does that. Apparently there's a fix for it, I just haven't had the money to try to fix it yet because of books. Look on this forum: http://www.nissanforums.com/u13-1993...ble-loose.html
