Hey guys, i have being a member for a while now and check the build threads virtually daily. problem is i haven't got a car worth doing anything to, at the moment! ( all i have is an old 1990 ae92 corolla and a 2003 mazda 2 which the ball and chain wont let me touch )

just thought id say hi and if any of you have a good suggestion on a cheap and easy car to be starting off with, feel free to let me know and why of course. and by easy i mean, readily available aftermarket parts and mechanically easy although i'm relatively capable with cars i still don't have much time to be dicking around with overly complex projects at the moment.

    thanks dudes!
keep up the great work all of you!

but i don't know man i kinda want something a bit newer ,

i know i can get some pretty cheap and nasty coil overs which would turn out cheaper than replacing the clapped out original bits with standard parts .... might be a bit of a tester

That is pretty cool, the only AE92's that I have ever seem have been 2 door hatchbacks so the 4 door is super cool. As a first project something like that would be great as the parts would be cheap and you would save a grip of cash not having to buy another car. Just my $.02

mine is a 4 door as well looks pretty much how that one would have before any work was done to it haha.
might be the best thing hey, I've secretly always loved the rolla (much to my friends discomfort) there is a few things that need doing before i could do new suspension. ATM she needs new rear breaks, the A/C to be refurbished way to hot to drive it to work at the moment and might slap some power steering on there although the non powered doesn't particularly bother me.. lots of little things too like a few seals and also the timing belt :/ i **** owning an old car ATM

Just slam it on some steelies and work on it form there, the cool body stuff and expensive wheels can be done down the road.

probably just on stock steelies and some spacers for a while but im working on the car tonight so it feels like the ball may be rolling, although im just doing rear breaks, they are squeaky under breaking... guessing it has something to do with the fact i have never changed them... :/
for the last day i have non stop being looking at wheels, coilovers and roof racks !

hey guys it being a while!
haven't had a chance to do anything at the moment as i went on holidays with the girl and had to a few things for the house.... anyway, it come to the point where driving the old seca is incredibly painful. its just the seat as i think it twists slightly which puts my back out so im on the hunt to do a seat swap! i just want to do the front seats, but i have no idea where to start. i don't know if i am able to detach the rails on my current seats and what seats i can use... is there any give a ways in this field so i know what to look for in the wrecking yard ??
                        all thoughts are appreciated guys!!!

id check the junkyards first, you can sometimes find a rear nice pair for cheap. Measure your frame rails and take the measurement with you to compare. worst case you should be able to modify the frame rails to make them work
