Not new, but new-ish car...

So I owned this. Caused some waves io S/W b!tching at other Fusion owners...

Found a vehicle I was VERY interested in purchasing at a dealer locally...well I quickly listed the Fusion for sale locally on CL. Expected no interest. Expected to put it back to stock and sell the coilovers and wheels separately...PITA...

BUT, to my surprise, a local was waiting for the Fusion to come up for sale apparently so he jumped on it. Ended up selling it as is for the same price as I would have gotten for the car AND all the parts separate! Best part is it went to a fellow car guy with a 40,000 mile Ford Lightning and a Mustang drag car.

So I sold it on a Saturday, took the cashiers check and cash on top to the bank Monday morning and bought this Monday afternoon!

2009 GTI with the less problematic TSI engine. 43,000 miles, DSG transmission. Full VW dealer service history. Spotless inside, few dings and scratches outside. No idea what happened to the stock wheels, dealer didn't know either. These cheapo MSW's have brand new goodyears on them though so I can't really complain.

Got mad at 4x4 mode and bought a set of FK Streetlines on a whim. Can't decide whether to install now and brave a Midwest winter, or save the install for Spring.

Beautiful pictures. Upset you sold the Fusion though, that was a clean car. But new car, new slate.

My buddy has a black Mk5 4 door as well, he's had many different wheels. Alphards flow nicely, as well as Rotiform BLQ's and even SNA's. He had a set of Fifteen52 Tarmacs as well, I enjoyed that look alot. Best of luck!

I feel like I went as far as I could with it in the power department. It had all of the power mods available and still ran a best 1/8 of 11.6 at 59 MPH. That's absurd. I needed more. The GTI is just a little more but it's enough for me for the moment!

I say screw it and install the coilovers, I told my friend to buy a set of Fk's for his MKV, I'm bored of my alphards so I might just sell them soon.

IMO i wouldnt go bentley wheels because alot of people do it, i would go something more original, but thats just me.
