  • Corey's 2012 WRX

    Hello all,

I've been a long time follower of the site, but never made a user name or thread. I was very lucky this year in the sense that my wife odered a 2012 WRX for me as my latest project and daily. I come for the VW world and right off the bat was not taken in by most Subaru junkies, but at the end of the day this car was built for me. Early in the year I had the great pleasure of working with Andrew of Open Road Tuning and the great team at Air Lift in building what is now the GR platform performance kit. Over the last several months I've been racking up the miles (15K+) and enjoying every minute of it.

    Mods:
Cobb AP - Custom tune by Torqued Performance
    Cobb heat shield
    AEM intake
    3 inch catted DP
    SPT catback
    Turbosmart BPV
    Kartboy SS w/ bushings
    JPM Coachworks shift boot
    JPM Coachworks e-brake book
    Custom headlights
    3M carbon roof overlay
    Air Lift Performance suspension
18x9 et20 Rota DPT (soon to change)

I too have a WRX (2011) but decided to leave it stock outside of the kb ss kit.

Sweet car. Oh and way to ruin it

This is my tempory setup for now. I need to figure out how I want it to look while retaining my spare. I travel and daily this car too much to not have my spare.

Welcome, and as a DD, airride is more usefull than going static.
                            First time on air?

But do you still got your spare in your latest trunk setup?

I do love the 'static' look on air when the car is dropped!

My old setup did include my spare. I know that I should still run a spare, but I'm more interested in having the functional trunk at this time. This is my first build on air. I'm very pleased with everything so far with the exception of the Viair check valve always freezing up on me in the winter. I just ordered a SMC check valve from ORT and hope that helps some.
